Molokwu Azikiwe

Molokwu Azikiwe is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in budget management and treasury operations. Currently serving as the Director of Budget & Treasury at the ECOWAS Commission since August 2003, Azikiwe oversees budgeting, accounts payable, treasury, and community levy functions. Previous roles at the ECOWAS Commission include Acting Director of Budget & Treasury and Head of Division for Budget Management & Monitoring, where responsibilities included managing significant budgets and donor-funded projects. Prior to ECOWAS, Azikiwe worked as Principal Enterprise Officer at the Bureau for Public Enterprises, focusing on the privatization of vehicle assembly plants, and held positions at Diamond Bank Plc, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and GE Capital IT Solutions. Azikiwe holds an MBA in International Business Management from Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Lincoln University.
