Arif Qamar

Operation Co-Ordinator at ECS Global Wire and Cable

Arif Qamar has over 17 years of work experience in the telecommunications industry. Arif began their career at PTCL in 2002 as an Engineering Supervisor, where they were responsible for the operation, maintenance, and supervision of the transit exchange. Arif also handled system administration for Huawei C&C08. In 2008, Arif joined Etisalat as a Project Development team member, where they executed various projects involving the implementation of Wired-line Outside Plant (OSP) and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) networks. Arif also worked on the development of a new generation long haul transport network. Since 2012, Arif has been working at ECS Global Wire and Cable as an Operation Co-Ordinator. In this role, they serve as a point of contact for all communication between Etisalat, ECS management and staff, as well as project execution, installations, and problem-solving in the telecommunications field. Arif also coordinates events and monitors ticket resolutions.

Arif Qamar completed their Secondary School education in the field of Social Sciences at Rafah-e-Aam High School in Multan, Pakistan, from 1985 to 1994. Arif then pursued an Associate's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Govt College Of Technology from 1994 to 1997. Later, from 1999 to 2001, Arif attended Bahauddin Zakariya University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism.
