Debra Roper

Debra Roper has a diverse work experience spanning multiple healthcare organizations. Debra currently holds the position of Director Digital, Community & Ambulatory Applications at ECU Health, where they have been since March 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Director IS Population Health and Ambulatory Applications at the same company from September 2018 to September 2023.

Before joining ECU Health, Debra worked as a Senior Consultant at Nordic Consulting Partners, Inc. from January 2018 to June 2018. Debra also held the position of Director, Ambulatory Information Services at Anne Arundel Medical Center from October 2010 to November 2017.

Debra'sprevious roles include Director - Enterprise Electronic Medical Record at UMMS from June 2008 to October 2010, Sr. Project Manager - Portfolio at University of Maryland Medical System from October 2006 to June 2008, and Sr. Project Manager - Clinical Information Systems at University of Maryland Medical Center from May 2000 to October 2006.

Debra's early work experience includes the positions of Systems Analyst at LifeBridge Health from January 1998 to May 2000 and RN - Clinical Coordinator from October 1992 to January 1998. Debra'sexpertise lies in healthcare IT and project management, with a strong focus on clinical information systems and ambulatory applications.

Debra Roper obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Mount St. Mary's University in 1990. Debra then completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Maryland School of Nursing in 1993. In 2008, Debra earned a Master of Science in Information Systems (MSM) from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Debra also holds additional certifications, including "CHCIO-Eligible" from the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, obtained in 2011 and 2005 respectively.
