Mikael Staal Axelsen

Mikael Staal Axelsen currently serves as the Group Chief Executive Officer and General Manager at Fibertex Personal Care since January 2002. In addition, Mikael holds a Board Member position at Roblon A/S as of January 2024, serves as Chairman of the Board for EDANA since July 2010, and is Chairman of the Board at Hosta Industries A/S since September 2015. Previous experience includes roles as Production Manager and R&D Project Manager at Fibertex A/S from August 1997 to December 2001, and as a Postdoctoral researcher focusing on image analysis on material deformation at Aalborg University from January 1995 to July 1997. Mikael Staal Axelsen earned a Ph.D. in Mechanics of Materials and an M.Sc. in the same field from Aalborg University, where studies were completed between 1987 and 1995.
