Candace Chung

Candace Chung has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Candace is currently working as a Senior Counsel at the New York City Economic Development Corporation since December 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Assistant General Counsel at the NYC Department of Design and Construction from May 2018 to October 2022.

Candace also has experience in social and community work, as they served as a Legal Fellow, Team Leader, and Volunteer at Open Hands from November 2013 to December 2017.

In terms of their internships, Candace completed a legal internship at Thomson Reuters in June 2012. Candace also interned at the City of Newark Law Department from September 2011 to December 2011 and at UBS Wealth Management as a Legal/Compliance Summer Associate from June 2011 to August 2011.

Additionally, Candace started their career as a Corporate Paralegal at Weil Gotshal and Manges from August 2007 to June 2009.

Candace Chung holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Cardozo School of Law. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Studies - Political Science at Wellesley College. Candace also participated in the Visiting Student Program at Columbia University. Additionally, Candace attended The Hotchkiss School for their secondary education and Seoul Foreign School for their primary education, although the degrees or fields of study pursued at these institutions are not specified.
