Caroline Nguyen has a strong background in legal and financial advisory roles. Caroline started their career as an Associate at First Manhattan Consulting Group, where they provided strategic and risk management advisory services to commercial banks and financial institutions. Caroline then worked as a Summer Associate at McKinsey & Company, evaluating the competitive position and developing strategic plans for the asset management business of Vietnam's largest securities company.
Following their consulting experience, Caroline worked as an Associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, representing debtors, non-debtor parent companies, and secured creditors in U.S. and cross-border restructuring matters. Caroline later returned to Kirkland & Ellis LLP as a Summer Associate.
Caroline then took on the role of Counsel at DWM Asset Management LLC, where they reviewed and negotiated documentation for debt financing and private equity investments in emerging market microfinance institutions. Caroline also oversaw governance of equity portfolio companies and managed vendor contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance with U.S. and EU regulations.
Caroline currently serves as a Senior Counsel at the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), where they promote inclusive economic growth through public-private partnerships, financing incentives, and real estate development transactions. Their responsibilities include structuring and negotiating agreements, advising on program design and legal risks, and coordinating with other agencies. Caroline has worked on various projects, such as the creation of WE Venture, a consortium supporting start-ups founded by women and minority entrepreneurs, and the development of a film and TV production hub at Bush Terminal that promotes diversity and equity in the media industry.

Caroline Nguyen started their education at Stuyvesant High School, where they completed their high school education in the year 2001. Caroline then attended Princeton University from 2001 to 2005, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with a focus on Economics, Finance, and Applied Mathematics. Later, from 2008 to 2012, Caroline attended New York University School of Law, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree. During the same period, from 2010 to 2012, they also pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with specializations in Strategy, Global Business, and Corporate Finance at NYU Stern School of Business.
