Erin Tou

Erin Tou has a diverse work experience in various roles related to planning, project management, and research. Most recently, they worked at the New York City Economic Development Corporation as a Project Manager, starting in June 2022. Prior to that, Erin was employed at M-GROUP, where they served as an Associate Planner from November 2020 to May 2022 and as an Assistant Planner from July 2019 to November 2020.

Erin also gained experience as a Resilience Associate and Climate Corps Fellow at Alameda County from September 2018 to June 2019. In this role, they co-authored a grant securing $70,000 for expanding Alameda County's public communications on wildfire smoke. Additionally, Erin conducted research on the health impacts of wildfire smoke and designed sustainability and disaster preparedness materials for educating local companies.

In earlier roles, Erin worked as a Database Assistant at Cornell University from February 2016 to May 2018. Erin also gained experience as a Researcher and Planning Intern at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Sullivan County from June 2016 to February 2018, where they conducted demographic analysis, interviewed key service providers, and compiled reports on health and age-related services.

Erin's work experience also includes a planning internship at M-GROUP, where they wrote staff reports, conducted research for city planning, and designed marketing materials. This internship lasted from June 2017 to August 2017.

Erin Tou completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Urban and Regional Studies from Cornell University College of Architecture, Art, and Planning in the years 2014 to 2018. In 2016, they also studied abroad at DIS in the field of Urban Studies.
