Fernando Montejo is the Assistant Vice President at New York City Economic Development Corporation, leading the Venture Access NYC initiative to create an inclusive tech ecosystem in NYC. Prior to this, Fernando served as the Senior Economic Prosperity Officer at Solve - MIT, connecting social entrepreneurs with various stakeholders to address global challenges. Fernando has also worked as a Global Policy Fellow at Instituto de Tecnologia & Sociedade do Rio de Janeiro advocating for tech privacy and knowledge access policies. Additionally, Fernando has experience in advisory roles at New York City Housing Authority and has a background in urban planning from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Cornell University.
