Jo Marini is an innovative leader and entrepreneur currently serving as CEO and Co-Founder of Mothership Materials, where patented technology, Trace™, transforms agricultural waste into sustainable feedstocks. Marini is also a Newlab Venture Fellow, selected among the top 15 climate tech startups in New York City for 2024. As part-time faculty at Parsons School of Design and an adjunct professor at California College of the Arts, Marini teaches strategic design and sustainability principles. Co-Founder of REYN, Marini has developed bio-adaptive skincare products recognized for their efficacy across diverse demographics. With extensive consulting experience in Agtech, sustainability, and manufacturing, Marini has contributed to the success of various startup ventures. Previous roles include Director of Strategy and Operations at Next PR and Founder of Mother Superior, a venture foundry for purpose-driven entrepreneurs. Marini holds an MBA in Design Strategy and a Master of Arts in Sociology, along with certifications in permaculture design and a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Sciences.
