Katherine Ruark

Katherine Ruark has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Katherine is currently working at the New York City Economic Development Corporation as an Associate, Strategic Analytics. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Project Analyst in the same organization.

Before joining the NYCEDC, Katherine worked as a Content Manager at ACE Universe, where they were responsible for managing content. Katherine also gained experience as a Senior Content Coordinator at ReedPOP, where they coordinated content-related activities.

Katherine's earlier roles include working as an Event Talent Coordinator at Wizard World, an Assistant in the Concerts Department at APA Talent and Literary Agency, and a Data Specialist at Midtown Comics. Katherine also served as an Executive Assistant to the CEO at Concrete Marketing and interned at Whitesmith Entertainment and Foundations Artist Management.

Their career began with a role as a Barista at Teavana in 2010. Overall, Katherine has built a solid foundation of work experience in various positions across different industries.

Katherine Ruark completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature at the University of Florida from 2006 to 2010. Katherine then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Music Business at New York University from 2011 to 2013. In 2020, Katherine attended SheCodes Workshops and obtained certifications in Front End Development, React Development, and Introduction to Coding. Katherine continued their education at SheCodes Workshops in 2020 and 2021, completing a degree in Front End and React Development. Additionally, Katherine obtained certifications in Poynter ACES Certificate in Editing from the Poynter Institute in March 2021 and Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences from LinkedIn in October 2022.
