Nicole Rains, MA, LPCC, serves as the Clinical & Community Liaison at EDCare since April 2018, focusing on the Athlete EDGE program. Previous roles at EDCare include Admissions Assessment Clinician, Connections House Supervisor, Lead Connections House Counselor, and Connections House Counselor. Prior to this, Nicole worked at Olive Garden as a server from October 2013 to June 2021. Additionally, experience includes serving as a Mental Performance Consultant at the Center for Performance Excellence (CPEX) from March 2018 to June 2019, and coaching gymnastics for Rochester Public Schools ISD #535 from April 2016 to August 2017, along with personal training at Rochester Athletic Club between January 2016 and August 2017. Nicole holds a Master's degree in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver (2017-2019) and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Sports and Exercise from the University of Minnesota Duluth (2011-2015).

Eating disorders are a serious mental health issue and finding the right treatment program is important. Founded in 2001, EDCare offers patients, their families, healthcare professionals and the community over 22 years of eating disorder experience. Our flagship center is located in the heart of Denver, Colorado where we are committed to empowering individuals suffering from eating disorders to make healthy, long-lasting changes. EDCare has become one of the nation’s foremost center for the diagnosis and treatment of eating disorders. Our multidisciplinary team of board-certified psychiatrists, physicians, clinicians, family and experiential therapists, and registered dietitians provide treatment to adults, ages 18 and older, of all genders and ethnicities. We offer a safe, judgment-free environment where individuals can gain the tools and support they need overcome the serious complications of anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and other related disorders. Upon admission, an interdisciplinary treatment team is assigned to each patient based on their individual needs. This means every treatment plan is unique and is designed to fit the individual. We currently offer various programs in Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska. All of our treatment centers have earned the Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval. Housing options available in Denver and Kanas City. Most major insurance plans accepted.
