Prior to their current role, Ashish served as the Co-Founder & CEO of TrainingFirst, a for-profit social enterprise. Before TrainingFirst, Ashish worked as a Program Manager, Learning Design at Liqvid eLearning Services Pvt Ltd. Ashish managed clients and led a team of content creators and instructional designers, focusing on developing interactive and engaging mobile-friendly courses.

Ashish started their career as an Intern at UNICEF, where they researched and analyzed ICT transformation and its application in program delivery. Ashish also worked with stakeholders on key development topics.

Furthermore, Ashish served as the General Secretary of Tagore Foundation, where they mobilized young people and established strategic partnerships with educational institutions and donors for sustainable project execution. Ashish also conducted a survey among Indian youth for the My World 2015 global survey.

Earlier in their career, Ashish was the Head of Sales & Marketing at Avake Technology (I) Pvt. Ltd., contributing to product development and business growth strategy. Ashish played a significant role in increasing the revenue of TolMol, India's first comparison shopping portal.

Ashish's career began as a Sales Trainee at Digitus Electronics, where they gained practical experience in identifying re-sellers and retailers, as well as selling electronic products on consignment.

Ashish Mehta obtained their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business from Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University between the years 2003 and 2006. Prior to that, they attended Modern School from 1990 to 2003, where they completed their high school education. In 2005, Mehta participated in a summer program on Business & Corporate Communication at the University of California, Berkeley. Ashish then pursued a Post Graduate Certification in Sales & Marketing at the Indian Institute of Management, Indore from 2008 to 2009. Lastly, Mehta attended Columbia University from 2012 to 2014, earning a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree.
