Leslie Hiner currently serves as the Director of the EdChoice Legal Policy & Education Center, where expertise lies in advising on the legal policy and constitutionality of educational choice while providing training and education to support parents' rights in education. With extensive experience at EdChoice, including roles as Vice President of Legal Policy and Director of the EdChoice Legal Defense & Education Center, Leslie Hiner has been instrumental in filing amicus briefs for educational freedom and training various stakeholders on relevant laws. Prior to joining EdChoice in 2008, Leslie Hiner held significant positions within the Indiana House of Representatives as Chief of Staff and Counsel & Policy Director for the House Republican Caucus, and has worked in private law practice and state government, including roles as General Counsel for the Indiana Secretary of State and Counsel to the Indiana State Senate. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/International Relations from The College of Wooster and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Akron School of Law, specializing in international law.
