Laura Chalela Hoover

Laura Chalela Hoover, MPH, RDN, currently serves as Executive Vice President at Edelman since May 2019, where previous roles included Senior Vice President. With extensive experience in nutrition communications, Laura founded Laura Hoover Nutrition, LLC, providing marketing communications consulting for food brands and public relations agencies from September 2011 to May 2019. Laura held positions at GolinHarris as Director and FoodMinds, LLC as Communications Consultant, supporting strategic communications for various food clients. Earlier experience includes leading the food and nutrition practice at Edelman Public Relations, managing nutrition communications at Dairy Management Inc., and contributing to the "Got Milk?" campaign at Bozell Sawyer Miller Group. Laura earned an MPH in Human Nutrition and a BA in Communications & Hispanic Studies from the University of Michigan.
