Lauren Barker is an accomplished communications executive with over a decade of experience in public relations and brand management. Currently serving as Executive Vice President & Global Lead for Edelman for Starbucks since April 2013, Lauren has held various leadership positions at Edelman, including Senior Vice President and Vice President. Prior experience includes working as an Account Manager at Waggener Edstrom, where oversight of the Microsoft Windows Phone lifestyle team involved orchestrating media strategies for product launches. Past roles also encompass Account Supervisor at Ogilvy Public Relations, leading communications for DuPont’s home design brands, and Account Executive at Levick Strategic Communications, where significant media placements were achieved. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Maryland.
