Maria Aguirre

Maria Aguirre, MSHR, SHRM-SCP, serves as the SVP of Global Payroll & HR Systems Operations at Edelman, leading a global team to enhance payroll and HR systems operations while optimizing costs and minimizing risks. With a robust career, Maria has previously worked as Director of Payroll Operations at Edelman, Payroll Manager & HRIS Implementation at Kirkland & Ellis, and Manager of Retirement Plan Administration at Guaranteed Rate, among other roles. Currently, Maria is an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at DePaul University, teaching Human Resources Management. Maria holds a Master of Science in Human Resources from DePaul’s Driehaus College of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & International Relations from DePaul University, with additional studies at Boston University and The University of Chicago Graham School.
