Hassaan Majid has a diverse and extensive work experience in the energy and financial sectors. Hassaan began their career as a Consultant at Arthur Andersen in 1990 and went on to hold various roles in energy trading and risk management at Andersen, Arthur Andersen LLP, and Deloitte. In 2005, they joined British Energy as the Energy Trading Process & Operations Manager and later became the General Manager of Operations-Energy Trading. Hassaan then moved to EDF Energy in 2009, where they served as the Head of Transformation for Upstream, Optimisation, Risk & Gross Margin and later as the Upstream Financial Control Director. In 2014, they became the Chief Financial Officer at EDF Renewables UK & Ireland, overseeing the development, acquisition, construction, and operation of renewable energy assets. Currently, they are a Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Chair at West London Mental Health NHS Trust.
Hassaan Majid completed their International Baccalaureate degree from UWC South East Asia, where they studied from 1983 to 1986. Subsequently, from 1986 to 1990, they pursued their M. Eng in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London.
