Jessica Leonard, GISP has a strong background in GIS and spatial analysis. Jessica is currently working as a Lead GIS Analyst at EDF Renewables North America since September 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Geos Institute as a Spatial Analysis Program Manager for over 10 years, where they managed projects, conducted research, and created visual graphics and cartography for peer-reviewed journals and reports. Before that, they worked as a GIS Researcher at PDC and as a Research Assistant at Portland State University. Early in their career, they gained experience as a GIS Technician at Bruce Harris & Associates, Inc. and as a GIS Compiler at The Sidwell Company.

Jessica Leonard, GISP, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from Augustana College, which they obtained between 1999 and 2003. In 2007 and 2008, they pursued a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems at Portland State University. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Python Essential Training, Learning Python, and Learning ArcGIS Python Scripting from LinkedIn. Jessica Leonard is also a GIS Professional (GISP), an accreditation awarded by the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI).
