Principal Engineer - Battery Storage at EDF Renewables

Tina (Yin) Zhang, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the field of battery storage and electrochemical engineering. Tina (Yin) currently holds the position of Principal Engineer - Battery Storage at EDF Renewables North America. Prior to this, Tina served as the Director of Business Development at Vision Battery, where they played a key role in managing sales, developing new business opportunities, and coordinating battery development activities with engineering teams and factories in Asia. Before that, they worked as a Senior battery engineer at GOAL ZERO, where they were responsible for designing battery cells and packs for portable power products. Tina also has a strong academic background, having worked as a PhD Researcher in electrochemical engineering at Brigham Young University and as a Materials Scientist at the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Tina (Yin)'sresearch contributions include the development of catalysts with high NOX storage and improved tolerance against sulfur poisoning, along with the co-authorship of a patent filed in China.

Tina (Yin) Zhang, Ph.D. completed their education with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University in 2012 and a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Dalian University of Technology between 1999 and 2002.
