Ashley Hofman is an experienced in-house lawyer with a strong commercial and pragmatic approach, currently serving as Deputy General Counsel at EDF Trading since February 2021, after holding the position of Senior Counsel. Previously, Ashley led the legal team for the Customers Branch at EDF Energy and worked as a Principal Solicitor there for over 13 years. Key responsibilities include managing a team of solicitors, advising on regulatory changes, negotiating high-value energy contracts, and supporting various energy-related activities, including power purchasing and renewables benefits trading. Ashley's legal expertise spans complex contractual negotiations and corporate transactions, backed by a solid educational foundation from the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England.
