Head Of Quantitative Modelling And Analytics at EDF Trading

David Chantelou has a diverse work experience in the energy and utilities industry. David has held various roles in different companies over the years. From 2008 to 2011, they worked as a Consultant at Pöyry Energy Consulting, focusing on fundamental and stochastic modelling for power and gas markets. David then joined Direct Energie as a Quantitative Analyst from 2011 to 2014. At Thomson Reuters, they served as the Head of Power Modelling for Point Carbon from 2014 to 2017, leading the development of forecast models and analysis. In 2017, they worked briefly as a Manager in the Energy & Utilities division at Sia Partners. Since 2018, they have been with EDF Trading, initially as the Optimisation and Trading Analytical Team Manager and currently as the Head of Quantitative Modelling and Analytics, where they manage a team responsible for applying quantitative methods to support trading activities in the energy market.

David Chantelou earned an MSc degree in Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College London from 2007 to 2008. Prior to that, they also pursued a degree in Management, Physics, Electricity, Telecom, and Computer Science from CentraleSupélec, where they completed their studies from 2005 to 2008.
