Matthew Bowler has a wealth of experience in IT security, having held roles at various companies throughout their career. Matthew began their career at Legal & General in 2001, where they started as an IT Support specialist before transitioning to IT Security Analyst and later IT Security Analyst (Assurance). In 2007, they joined Jupiter Asset Management, initially as an IT Security Analyst and eventually becoming an IT Security Manager. After a successful tenure at Jupiter Asset Management, Bowler moved to Gallagher in 2015 as an IT Security Manager before joining EDF Trading in 2016 with the same position. Matthew then transitioned to EDF Energy North America in 2021, where they served as an IT Security Manager until their move to EDF Trading in 2023, where they currently serve as the Global Head of IT Security.
Matthew Bowler completed their Master's degree in Information Technology Security from the University of Westminster from 2005 to 2009. Additionally, they obtained various certifications including Junior Penetration Tester from TryHackMe in March 2022, Unix Badge from PentesterLab in October 2018, Certified Ethical Hacker v8 from EC-Council in April 2014, Advanced Level ISO 27001 Certified ISMS Lead Implementer from IBITGQ in December 2013, and CISSP from (ISC)² in February 2009.
