EDFI MC is a specialised investment management company with a public service mission to support market development in low- and middle-income countries and to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. It was established to function as an interlocutor between European DFIs and the European Commission. 

EDFI MC aims to bridge the gap between traditional approaches to providing official assistance and the core-activities of European DFIs.  It manages delegated funding from the EU blending instruments to deliver development finance solutions that enable European DFIs and private sector investors to increase the scale and impact of their work by investing more and in higher risk opportunities than would otherwise be possible.

EDFI MC currently manages ElectriFI, AgriFI and the T&C guarantee on behalf of the European Commission through sub-delegation agreements with FMO and Proparco.
