Ulf Geismar

Ulf is a Director at Edgar, Dunn & Company (EDC) with responsibility for the Frankfurt office where he leads consulting assignments in Germany and other Central European countries, involving strategy development, market analyses, and performance analyses for a variety of major financial services institutions. Ulf brings more than 25 years of experience and executive management in the German retail banking industry. He has been leading multiple projects for card issuers, acquirers and PSPs during the past 10 years mainly addressing topics around organisational strategy, product development, market entry, pricing models etc. Within EDC, Ulf brings a strong focus on strategic market entry projects, M&A related business analysis and market research assignments, as well as a strong regulatory insights.

Prior to EDC, he spent 16 years with Banco Santander in Germany in several key management positions. He was CEO of Santander Direct Bank, the first German Online Bank, for more than 10 years. Ulf holds a BS degree from TCU and an MBA from NTSU, both in Texas, USA.

Ulf has been accredited by the German BaFin to lead and operate a bank in Germany.
