L. Gene Dobbins

L. Gene Dobbins has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Currently, Dobbins holds the position of Principal System Safety Engineer at Edge Case Research, starting in July 2021. Prior to this, Dobbins served as the Community Impact Pastor at Mountain Christian Church from August 2017. Before transitioning into the religious sector, Dobbins worked at Leidos, where they held the roles of Senior Software Test Engineer from August 2018 to July 2021, and Systems Safety Engineer from October 2016 to August 2018. Dobbins has a long history of engineering experience, having started their career at the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center as a Senior Engineer in March 2002 and remained in this role until October 2016. Overall, Dobbins brings a wealth of engineering and leadership experience to their current role as a Principal System Safety Engineer.

L. Gene Dobbins obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University from 1997 to 2001. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Systems Engineering from the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering between 2007 and 2009.
