Jeff Milrod has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Jeff began their career as an Applied Physics/Electrical Engineer at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, where they worked from 1983 to 1986. Milrod then joined Booz Allen Hamilton as a Senior Consultant, specializing in various defense-related projects and obtaining a TS/SCI Clearance with NSA polygraphs. Jeff worked at Booz Allen Hamilton from 1986 to 1988.
In 1988, Milrod transitioned to Avtec Systems, where they served as the Director of Optical Systems. Jeff led a team in developing proof-of-concept systems for optical sensors and real-time algorithms for the Strategic Defense Initiative. Jeff maintained a TS/SCI clearance during their time at Avtec Systems, working until 1991.
Milrod then founded Ixthos, a startup focused on reconfigurable signal acquisition and processing hardware. Under their leadership, Ixthos became a leading supplier in the field, attracting angel funding and achieving profitability within the first two years. In its fifth year, Ixthos was acquired, marking the start of a successful exit for Milrod. Jeff led Ixthos from 1991 to 1998.
Following the acquisition of Ixthos, Milrod joined BittWare in 1999 as President and CEO. Jeff redirected the company's focus towards horizontal acceleration hardware and secured funding for new initiatives. Milrod attracted and retained top talent across various departments, leading the company to profitability and growth during their tenure. In 2018, Milrod transitioned to the role of President within the newly formed "BittWare, a Molex company." Jeff built a strong team and cast a clear vision and roadmap for the organization. Milrod held this position until 2021 when they took on the role of Chief Technology & Strategy Officer (CTSO) within the ISI Group at BittWare, responsible for engineering, product development, and driving growth and profits.
Most recently, in 2023, Milrod joined Edgecortix as the VP of Product Engineering (Hardware) to continue their work in the field.
Jeff Milrod completed their Bachelor's degree in Physics, Honors at the University of Maryland Baltimore County from 1981 to 1984. Following this, they pursued a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University between 1986 and 1988.
