Gregory Thomson

Gregory Thomson is a highly experienced security professional with a strong background in information security, specializing in Splunk environments. Currently serving as a Senior Security Engineer at Edgewater Federal Solutions, Inc. since September 2021, Gregory previously held the position of Cyber Security System Engineer at Triumph Enterprises, Inc. from May 2017 to September 2021, where responsibilities included managing significant Splunk installations for the NIH Information Security program. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Consultant at Windward IT Solutions, where Gregory architected a large Splunk environment and consolidated distributed installations, and as a Senior Unix Administrator at Freddie Mac, where skills in Solaris installation and production issue troubleshooting were developed. Gregory holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Virginia Tech, earned in 2001.
