Chand Sooran

Chand Sooran is the Founder and CEO of EdgeworthBox. Prior to EdgeworthBox, Chand served as the Chief Operating Officer and Advisor of American Prison Data Systems, PBC from January 2015 to January 2017. In this role, Chand was responsible for the overall management and operation of the company. From April 2009 to May 2012, Chand worked as a Portfolio Manager for CQS, where they managed a portfolio of distressed and developed market value equities.

Chand is a Charter Member, Former Director, and Past President of TiE New York. Chand has been with TiE since April 2017 and their responsibilities include revised the corporate governance, restructured Operations, doubled cash balance, diversified Board of Directors, restarted TiE NY Angels as Co-Chair, developed marquee Pitch Competitions, obtained sponsorship.

Chand Sooran has a MBA in Financial Engineering Track from MIT Sloan School of Management, an MA in Economics from Queen's University at Kingston, and a BA (Hons) in Economics & Politics from the Royal Military College of Canada/Collège militaire royal du Canada. Chand also has an Ontario Secondary School Honours Graduation Diploma from the University of Toronto. In addition, they have certification from Coursera in Deep Learning Specialization, Sequence Models, Convolutional Neural Networks, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, HTML, CSS, and Javascript for Web Developers, and Machine Learning Specialization.
