Stephen J. Alford

Stephen J. Alford has a diverse work experience in various industries. From 2003 to 2008, they worked as a Senior Technology Analyst at Atlanta Public Schools. Stephen J. later transitioned into roles of increasing responsibility, serving as the Director of Public Relations and Communications, and then the Executive Director of Communications at Atlanta Public Schools. During their time there, Alford successfully managed various communication initiatives and played a key role in helping the district regain full accreditation.

In 2013, Alford joined Think Feel Do, Inc. as a Director, where they developed and implemented communication campaigns for municipalities, businesses, and community leaders. Stephen J. worked on several successful programs, including a campaign to raise awareness about the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) and an airport development pitch.

In 2017, Alford became the Creative Director at Cinematize, where they produced several education-centric television programs. Their creative leadership and ability to produce thought-provoking visual narratives resonated with targeted audiences.

Most recently, Alford joined EDhear, Inc. as the President and CEO in 2018. In this role, they help K-12 organizations, childcare centers, colleges and universities, nonprofits, and education partners develop and implement successful business and communication strategies. Additionally, Alford serves as the executive producer of over seven education-centric television programs.

Stephen J Alford attended Morehouse College from 1988 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Later, in 2004 and 2005, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing at Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University. In 2007 and 2008, they furthered their education by participating in the Executive Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on Strategy and Innovation.
