Barry James, RPBio, Pr.Sci.Nat, is an experienced ecologist and regulatory specialist currently working at EDI Environmental Dynamics Inc. as of November 2023. Barry previously served as a Resource Manager for the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations from November 2019 to November 2023, overseeing staff and managing various operational aspects in the Mackenzie Natural Resources District Office. With a rich background in environmental consulting, Barry founded Brousse-James & Associates, where Barry led multiple environmental impact assessments and biodiversity reports over a 22-year period. Early career experience includes positions as a Senior Ranger at the Natal Parks Board and as a Senior Analyst Programmer at the University of Cape Town and other corporate entities. Barry holds a Master’s Degree in Plant Ecology/Forest Ecology, a BSc (Hons) in Plant Ecology and Rehabilitation Ecology, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology and Botany.
