Alisa Kappel has extensive experience in education, currently serving as a Summer Staff Developer and On Call Part Time Employee at AVID Center since April 2013, where responsibilities include facilitating trainings for AVID Elective Teachers and Site Teams. Kappel has been with Edina Public Schools since June 2009, holding multiple roles such as Engineering Teacher, AVID District Co-Director, AVID Elective Teacher, and Middle School Science Teacher. Previously, Kappel was an Independent Consultant for Stampin' Up! from October 2001 to January 2012 and taught at Minnetonka Public Schools from March 1996 to June 2008. Kappel holds a Technology Integration Certificate from Hamline University, a Master's degree in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of St. Thomas, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Teaching Middle School Science and Psychology from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
