Lei Cox serves as the Programme Leader of Photography at Edinburgh Napier University since September 2019. Previously, Lei held the position of Professor of Video and Photographic Arts and Head of Visual Communication at Nottingham Trent University from June 2010 to September 2019, leading a team of over 35 academics and managing numerous undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Prior to this, Lei was a Professor of Digital and Electronic Art at Bergen Academy of Art and Design from July 2006 to April 2010, focusing on research and curriculum development. Additional experiences include serving as Director at LEXICO INDUSTRIES and holding leadership roles in research and teaching at the University of Dundee. Lei Cox’s educational background includes a Certificate of Competence for Full Professor from Bergen Academy of Art and Design and postgraduate studies in Electronic Imaging from the University of Dundee, along with a BA(hons) in Fine Art from Sheffield Hallam University.
