Samantha Y. Lee

Samantha Y. Lee currently serves as the Director of Scientific Operations at The Jackson Laboratory, a position held since April 2024, after previously working as a Manager of Operations. Prior to this role, Samantha was the Strategic Planning Manager at the Society for Developmental Biology from April 2022 to April 2024 and a Program Officer at Graduate Women in Science from June 2018 to September 2022. Experience also includes serving as Program Director at the University of Notre Dame's Office of Grants and Fellowships from October 2016 to April 2022, and a USDA-NIFA Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture from July 2015 to October 2016. Earlier roles include Senior Fellowship Advisor and NSF Graduate Research Fellow at Rutgers University, along with positions in the Department of Plant Biology and Pathology. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Plant Biology and Pathology from Rutgers University, obtained between 2011 and 2015.
