Travis Maures

Travis Maures is a gene editing specialist currently serving as the Chief Scientific Officer at EditCo since March 2024. Previously, Travis held multiple leadership roles at Synthego Corporation from March 2017 to March 2024, including Chief Technology Officer, Director of Science Research, and Principal Scientist in Functional Biology. Prior experience includes working as Scientist 2 at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. and conducting postdoctoral research at Stanford University and the University of Michigan, focusing on molecular mechanisms of aging and cellular physiology. Academic credentials include a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology and a BS in the same field, both obtained from the University of Michigan. Relevant publications include work co-authored with colleagues on significant scientific topics in gene editing and cellular biology.
