Anastasia Ailamaki is a distinguished academic and industry leader specializing in computer science and engineering. Currently serving as a Visiting Professor at Google since January 2023, Ailamaki has been the Chief Scientific Officer and co-founder of RAW Labs since March 2015, where innovative tools are developed to manage Big Data effectively. Ailamaki is a Full Professor at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and has held various academic positions at Carnegie Mellon University from 2001 to 2013. Ailamaki earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, alongside two Master’s degrees in Computer Science and Computer Engineering, and an Engineering Diploma in Computer Engineering from the University of Patras.
