Deborah Kirk

Deborah Kirk currently serves as the Associate Dean of Learning and Teaching and Professor of Nursing at La Trobe University, a position held since January 2024. Additionally, Deborah Kirk has been with Edith Cowan University since October 2017, holding various roles including Adjunct Professor of Nursing, Associate Dean of Nursing - Regional, Associate Professor, and Associate Dean of Nursing Postgraduate. With extensive experience in oncology, Deborah Kirk has functioned as a Nurse Practitioner in oncology practices since March 1999, focusing on community practice and oncology/palliative nursing education. Deborah Kirk's academic career includes positions as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing from 2009 to 2017. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of South Alabama, a Master’s degree in Nursing from Troy University, and a Graduate Certificate in Public Health from the University of Technology Sydney.
