Robert Davis is an experienced professional in the field of wildlife conservation and ecology. Currently serving as the Editor in Chief for Pacific Conservation Biology at CSIRO Publishing since July 2025, Robert also holds the position of Associate Professor in Wildlife Conservation at Edith Cowan University, alongside previous roles as Senior and Lecturer in Vertebrate Biology since January 2009. Robert's academic career began with a postdoctoral research associate role in urban bird ecology at The University of Western Australia from January 2007 to January 2009. Between June 2000 and August 2008, Robert directed Western Wildlife, a business focused on providing ecological services for environmental impact assessments. Robert earned a Ph.D. in Zoology from The University of Western Australia in 2005, following a B.Sc. in Biology and Environmental Science with honours from Murdoch University, completed in 1997.
