Janice K. Jackson is the current Director at Edmentum. Prior to their current position, they served as Distinguished Fellow at the Institute of Politics at University of Chicago from September 2021 to December 2021. Jackson also has experience working with the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and Leadership Greater Chicago. Additionally, they served on the Planning Team Director at Al Raby High School from May 2002 to May 2004 where they helped write the school's proposal for the Chicago High School Redesign Initiative, which resulted in a $500,000 implementation grant. Jackson's experience and dedication to education reform make their an excellent Director at Edmentum.
Dr. Janice K. Jackson began their educational career at Chicago State University, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching and Janice'story. Janice then earned their Masters in Leadership & Administration and another Masters in Education from the University of Illinois Chicago. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Education in Policy Studies & Educational Leadership from the University of Illinois Chicago. Janice is also certified by the Illinois State Board of Education in the Illinois General Superintendent Certificate, the Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow, and the Illinois State Teaching Certificate (High School 6-12).
