Kayla Lockwood

Kayla Lockwood is a dedicated graduate student and professional with a focus on art and design, currently serving as a Graduate Student Representative in the Art Department at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. With a strong background in teaching, operations management, and research, Kayla has experience in various roles, including Graduate Teaching Assistant and Operations Manager at Edmentum, where projects aimed to enhance user experience in K–12 learning platforms. As a Graduate Research Assistant at the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art, Kayla promoted inclusive practices for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. Previous roles include workshop instructor at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art and graphic designer for the University of Oregon's College of Education. Kayla holds a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Oregon.
