Sukant Behera

Sukant Behera is Managing Director of Asia and is responsible for the financial performance, product development, business development and overall strategy for EDMI’s smart devices and solutions in the region.

During his 19 years with EDMI, he served in various leadership roles and closely worked with utility customers to deliver and implement complex and some of the high visibility AMR and AMI deployments in Asia.

With over 30 years of experience in the energy and utility industry, Sukant offers his expertise in Smart Grid technologies, AMI, AMR, and Distribution Automation, with deep technical knowledge of smart meters for electricity, gas, and water. Sukant has also succeeded in a wide range of disciplines during his career including engineering, contract management, sales, business development, product marketing and product strategies.

Sukant holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hull, UK and a Degree in Electrical Engineering from Gulbarga University, India.
