Mark Melenberg is an experienced educator and community organizer actively engaged in multiple roles. Currently, Mark serves as a full-time Music, English Language Arts, and French teacher at St. Thomas More Junior High School under Edmonton Catholic Schools since August 2019. Mark has co-founded and holds the position of Executive Director for the Level Up Gaming League, a non-profit organization focused on empowering at-risk youth through roleplaying programs and games, while significantly expanding the organization's volunteer base and partnerships. Additionally, Mark has diverse experience with the City of Edmonton as a Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor, where essential skills in safety, conflict resolution, and teaching were developed. Mark holds a Bachelor of Music with Distinction from The King's University and a Bachelor of Education After Degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Alberta.
