Sahar Izadi

Sahar Izadi is an accomplished marine scientist with extensive experience spanning multiple roles in academia and industry. Currently serving as a Fellow at the Edmund Hillary Fellowship since 2019 and as COO at Kara Technologies Ltd since June 2017, Sahar has a robust research background, having worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant at The University of Auckland and as a Research Assistant at the University of St Andrews. Prior to these roles, Sahar contributed to marine biology projects at AMA Consulting Engineers and served as an Independent Researcher at the Persian Gulf Biotechnology Research Center, focusing on biodiversity in the Persian Gulf. Education includes a Ph.D. in Marine Sciences from The University of Auckland, a Master of Research in Marine Mammal Science from the University of St Andrews, and a Master’s in Marine Zoology from Shahid Beheshti University, where a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology was also obtained.
