Nicholas Smith

Nicholas Smith is an experienced professional in the optics industry, currently serving as an Instructor at Valencia College Accelerated Skills Training, where efforts focus on training future leaders in optics technology. Previously, Nicholas held multiple roles at Edmund Optics, including Technology Development Manager and Business Development Manager for Laser Optics. Nicholas has also contributed to Advanced Thin Films as a Strategic Account Manager, Rochester Precision Optics as a Manufacturing Engineer, and JENOPTIK as a Process Engineer. Early career experience includes positions at Edmund Optics as an Asphere Manufacturing Engineer/Manager and at Optimax Systems, Inc. as an Optical Technician. Nicholas holds a degree in Optics from the University of Rochester and an associate degree in Liberal Arts, Math and Science, with a focus on Math, Physics, and Engineering from Genesee Community College.
