Daniel Macauyag has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Daniel started their career as an Intern at IDA Structural Engineers, Inc. in 2014, where they gained valuable experience in consulting structural engineering. Following this, Daniel worked as a Cashier at UC Davis Stores, demonstrating their customer service skills and attention to detail. Daniel then joined Caltrans as a Student Assistant, where they contributed to monitoring and optimizing highway pavement condition and repair strategies. In 2015, Daniel worked as a Design Engineer at BKF Engineers, where they prepared construction documents and collaborated with coworkers and outside agencies for infrastructure projects. Daniel then transitioned into the technology industry, working as a Web Developer at Genius Sports Media and later at Genvid Technologies Inc. In these roles, they developed web applications and contributed to the design and development of digital products. Daniel's most recent work experience is at Edmunds, where they started as a Software Engineer in March 2021 and was promoted to Senior Software Engineer in August 2022. This progression highlights their growth and expertise in software development.

Daniel Macauyag obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Davis, where they studied from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2010 to 2012, where they studied Electrical Engineering. In 2017, Daniel completed the WDI - Web Development Immersive program in Front End/Back End Web Development at General Assembly. In addition to their formal education, they have also obtained certifications such as Engineer in Training from the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists in October 2015 and Introduction to AutoCAD Civil 3D from Autodesk in September 2015.
