Matt Altermatt

Matt Altermatt has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Matt is currently working as the Technical Lead Manager for Edmunds Ad Solutions (EAS) team, overseeing both onsite and offshore developers. In this role, their main responsibilities include managing the career development of onsite developers, ensuring timely completion of work requests, and resolving any blockers.

Prior to this, Matt served as the Technical Lead Engineer at Edmunds, leading the Lead System Engineering (LSE) team responsible for delivering leads from edmunds.com to dealer partners. Matt supervised a team of developers and utilized various technologies such as Java, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DocumentDB, AWS, Databricks, and Kotlin to deliver leads efficiently.

Before joining Edmunds, Matt worked as a Senior Software Engineer at PAML where they were an individual contributor on the Accurately Described Inventory team. Matt'srole involved using Java, Tomcat, solr, Hadoop, and MapReduce to ensure accurate and fast vehicle information retrieval.

Earlier in their career, Matt was a Software Engineer at PAML, where they held several positions including Software Engineer IV, Software Engineer III - R&D, IT Integration Supervisor, Software Engineer II - IT Integration Technical Lead, and Software Engineer I - IT Integration. During their time at PAML, Matt worked on various projects involving ASP.Net MVC, Entity Framework, Ninject, MSTest, MS SQL Server, SOLR, and Java Network Launch Protocol (JNLP). Matt'sresponsibilities ranged from rewriting applications, creating GUIs, overseeing developers, training team members, implementing policies, and maintaining code for laboratory message integration.

Before their career in software engineering, Matt served in the US Army as a Medical Specialist. During their time in the army, they obtained National EMT certification and gained experience working in a team-oriented environment.
