Jillian Bird

Jillian Bird is an accomplished professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning at EDP Renewables North America since January 2019. In this role, Jillian is responsible for the development and feasibility analysis of large-scale wind and solar projects, leading a Sino-US multinational project team to promote the deployment of 1.2GW of clean energy across four states. Prior to this, Jillian was a Senior Product Manager at SMA Solar, overseeing the development and lifecycle management of photovoltaic system solutions in Europe and North America. Jillian's earlier experience includes serving as an Energy Strategy Analyst and Project Leader at Siemens Energy AG Gasturbinenwerk Berlin, focusing on renewable energy projects within Germany's 'Energiewende'. Jillian holds a Master's degree in Energy Management and Systems Technology from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
