Alexandre Varela

Alexandre Varela currently serves as a Senior R&D Project Manager and Consultancy Coordinator at EDP, where responsibilities include managing Research and Development projects and overseeing the Consultancy group within the Business Development department. Prior experience includes a decade as Technical Director at AdEPorto - Agência de Energia do Porto and roles such as Mechanical Engineer, Energy Consultant, and Project Manager at Arq. Carlos Nuno Lacerda, Lda. In addition, Alexandre has contributed to energy efficiency initiatives at Edifícios Saudáveis Consultores and completed a traineeship in Advanced Mechatronics at Hilti AG. Alexandre's educational background features advanced studies in Sustainable Energy Systems from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, complemented by a degree in Mechanical Engineering focusing on fluids and heat.
