Ligia Diana Amorim

Ligia Diana Amorim is a data analyst at EDP since September 2022, with prior experience as a data scientist at Santander Portugal from October 2021 to July 2022. Ligia's academic journey includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics Engineering obtained from Instituto Superior Técnico, complemented by a Master's Degree in Plasma and High-Temperature Physics and a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Physics from the same institution. Ligia's extensive research experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Scholar at Berkeley Lab, where work focused on developing numerical tools for particle accelerator configurations, and as a Postdoctoral Associate at Stony Brook University, leading research on particle beam-plasma accelerator devices. Ligia has contributed significantly to the field through the creation of open-source code, exploration of novel accelerator mechanisms, and utilization of advanced simulation techniques.
