Omer Orhan

Omer Orhan has worked in the software engineering industry since 2010. In 2010, they began working at Softtech as a Full Stack Engineer in the IT Department of Türkiye İş Bankası. Omer developed credit and credit card allocation applications using WPF, C#, Oracle 11g, and Hibernate. Omer also improved Microsoft CCF architecture projects and maintained source code. In 2012, they began working at Akbank as a Software Engineer. Omer was responsible for integration applications written in .net, Java, Unix, and COBOL. Omer also contributed to the External Letter of Guarantee Project, which included SWIFT and batch processing for day-end transactions. In 2015, they began working at TEB as a Senior Software Engineer in the Retail Loans Department. Omer programmed and analyzed projects using Java, JSF, Richfaces, and PL/SQL. Omer also successfully converted outdated infrastructure by 40% with PL/SQL, Oracle Forms to JSF. In 2019, they began working at eDriving as a Senior Software Engineer and Data Scientist. Omer developed telematics models to transform raw phone sensor data to signals and events such as hard braking, hard acceleration, and phone distraction. Omer also conducted data-oriented projects and modeling for driving risks patterns.

Omer Orhan has a diverse educational background. Omer obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Kocaeli University between 2005 and 2009. Omer then went on to pursue a Master's of Science in MSIT, Data Analytics from the University of the Cumberlands. Most recently, they attended the University of California, Santa Cruz and completed a Silicon Valley Extension in Computer Programming and Data Analytics in 2019. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Oracle Database 11g: Advanced PL/SQL, Oracle Database 11g:Program with PL/SQL, and Photography Course - Kocaeli Fotoğraf Sanatı Derneği (KASK).
