Board Member at Education As A Vaccine

Okikiola O. Amosun serves as a Board Member at Education as a Vaccine (EVA) since May 2022 and holds the position of Senior Strategy & Policy Associate at the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) since November 2021. In this role, Okikiola is responsible for fostering innovative and strategic ideas to ensure NMDPRA's sustainability and effectiveness in the energy sector. Prior to this, Okikiola was a Strategy and Innovation Associate at the Petroleum Equalisation Fund (Management) Board and has experience in wealth management at Investment One Financial Services Limited. Okikiola also volunteered as Head of the Project Team for Stand to End Rape Initiative and worked in various roles in banking and advocacy, gaining a comprehensive background in strategy, communications, and social causes. Okikiola completed a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Abuja in 2014.

Education as a Vaccine (EVA) is a Nigerian non-profit, non-political, non-governmental organisation dedicated to improving health outcomes, including HIV/AIDS prevention, sexual reproductive health, rights, and economic growth for adolescents and young people. With 23 years of experience, our holistic approach utilises youth-friendly methodologies to foster lasting change in health, education, and human rights. Our governance structure ensures accountability and transparency, overseen by a diverse board of directors and skilled professionals managing day-to-day operations. Education as a vaccine operates in 7 states and the Federal Capital Territory and has expanded its scope to include climate justice initiatives. We partner with the public and private sectors to provide health products, clinical services, psychological support, and behaviour change communications in urban and rural areas. Education as a Vaccine collaborates with international organisations such as Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH), Frontline Aids, United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA), HIVOS, FEMNET, Global Fund for Women, African Women Development Fund (AWDF), World Health Organisation(WHO), FosFeminista, Malala, Urgent Action Fund, The Pact, International Women’s Health Coalition (IWHC) and Women’s Environment & Development Organization among others.
